Hello, and thanks for visiting this misnamed website.
I maintain this website, because I care about the future of our country. Over 150 years ago, ancestors and relatives of mine on my mom's side and my dad's side, gave their last full measure of devotion, as Abe Lincoln said, to preserve the government "of the people, by the people and for the people.
Yet it seems to me that our government, particularly at the national level is a government of the rich, by the rich and for the rich, and that we the people are very poorly served by this government.
It appears that most of the nation agrees with me, as current approval rating for Congress is less than 20%. And yet we the people seem likely to re-elect most of those Congresspeople. Why?
My naive belief is that happens because too many people are not aware of how we are being screwed. That if people had the facts, that we would run these crooks out of office instead of letting them buy their re-election.
Starting, first and foremost, with Lynn Jenkins, who poorly represents the people of the 2nd District of Kansas.
Does Congresswoman Jenkins represent you, or does she represent the richest 5% of Americans?
Jenkins voted AGAINST
$500 tax cut for all working people
spending for highway projects all throughout the 2nd district
$4.8 billion in spending for veteran's benefits
$1.1 billion in spending for farm programs and rural development
$8 billion in spending on health care for children
Jenkins voted FOR, or co-sponsored
larger tax cuts for families with incomes over $90,000
permanent annual tax cuts of over $150 billion for millionaires
permanent tax cuts of $18 billion a year for multi-millionaires
annual tax cuts of $100 billion for people with estates valued over $3.5 million
